Henry County Baptists

The Henry County Baptist Association is an organization consisting of some 31 area Baptist churches of which we are a part. In May 2017 the HCBA will reach its 60th anniversary since its formation, and this momentous occasion will be celebrated at the annual meeting of churches in October of this year. Through the HCBA, churches may join hands providing and receiving encouragement and support with various ministries and resources. Some of the ministries which our church supports through the HCBA are the Raceway Ministry, provided at races at the Martinsville Speedway, and the Horne Home Ministry, which is a home for ladies with disabilities. A newer ministry is Operation-In-As-Much. OIAM is a ministry day in which all churches who wish to participate join forces in providing a wide variety of ministries in the Martinsville-Henry County community. Some examples are: providing gas money, laundry money and meal money at local gas stations, laundromats and fast-food restaurants, construction of wheelchair ramps, providing hygiene bags for homeless people, replenishing items needed for the Pregnancy Care Center, and providing gift bags for some of our nursing homes residents.
